Though the quality of board games have gone up a lot since the turn of this century, the industry behind it all hasn’t really changed a lot. Most games are still produced in a far-away-country and the lack of infrastructure almost makes it impossible to produce sustainable board games - at least if you want to make a living of it as a board game developer.
